Google banned or deleted at least 40 homo erotic blogs from its services. Both, visitors and blog hosts were not precisely informed about the reason of the blockage. Google explains the blockage with a violation of the user terms. In fact they prohibit the publication of pornographic content on public blogs, however they were satisfied with warning notices up to now. However, some blogs that publish/ed erotic but no pornographic content, were also deleted. Due to Google’s communication vacuum, emotions and rumors have been running high: Some gay bloggers accuse Google for censorship and/or believe in the participation of Christian fundamental groups, that complained about homo erotic contents and might have caused automatic blockings; others think that Google tries to take direct action against pedophiliac contents and searched the titles for words like ‘daddy’ or ‘boy’ to block them.
